The Spring Team is taking on the Surrey Peaks Challenge on 10th July 2025, raising money for the McCarthy Stone Foundation, to make a difference to people in later life, helping to reduce isolation and loneliness for older people in the most deprived parts of the country.

Our team of 12 volunteers will walk the 29km route, taking in Holmbury Hill, Leith Hill, and the iconic Box Hill in Surrey.

Spring shares McCarthyStone Foundation's vision to see a society where older people are valued, connected, and engaged with their communities.

Their mission is to help grassroots charities and community groups support older people by engaging the McCarthy Stone Group, its people, customers, and partners, such as Spring. Since launching in November 2020, the foundation has supported over 450 charitable causes with grants and project funding totaling more than £1 million. They help to bring people together, offering companionship and connection to those who are isolated—whether they live alone or in care homes with no family or friends nearby. The foundation helps older individuals rediscover the sense of purpose and belonging that is so crucial in later life, ensuring they never feel alone in the world.

The Spring team is already training and doing what we can to ensure we can complete the course and raise as much money as possible to help the fantastic work of the foundation.

McCarthy Stone will match every penny raised, so we hope you will support us in our walking challenge and we will keep you updated on how we get on via our socials!
