Congratulations Joanna Clark Spring Employee Of The Year-2020

Every year the Spring team take a vote and nominate a colleague who they feel has contributed the most and has been the greatest asset to the team in the past 12 months. The results are in…and we are delighted to announce that Joanna Clark has won the title of ‘Employee of the Year 2020’.

Here, we catch up with Joanna to hear about her winning year at Spring.

What’s your favourite part of your job at Spring?

I’d have to say building relationships. I’m very fortunate to be able to meet new people from all over the country on a daily basis, although lots of them just by video call over the last 9 months. I love that Spring gives home sellers the opportunity to make the move they have dreamt of and I am lucky enough to witness first-hand the difference it can make to people’s lives.

How has your role changed during the Covid Lockdown and how have you adapted?

My work has changed a lot during this time. I used to drive up and down the country to meet my clients – one day I’d be in Yorkshire and the next I’d be in Bournemouth. Now most of my meetings are held online, so although it’s less driving for me, I do miss being able to meet people in person as that’s one of my favourite parts of the job.

What are your Spring team like to work with?

Spring are a family! The team here are great. I can always rely on my team for anything. They are positive, knowledgeable, and always go above and beyond, not just for the customer but for each other.

What’s your goals for 2021, personal and professional?

• Personal – I am currently buying my first house, so I plan to become a master at decorating next year. I had also planned to climb Ben Nevis in 2020, which sadly I have been unable to do due the lockdown restrictions. So, for 2021 this is on my bucket list to complete.
• Professional – To keep developing our accounts so Spring can help many more home moves for customers and developers alike.

As part of your winner’s prize, Spring donated to a charity of your choice, who did you choose and why?

I have chosen Cardiff Dogs Home to receive the donation. I have such a love for dogs and my toy Poodle, Teddy, puts a smile on my face every day. I hope that by giving the donation to Cardiff Dogs Home, it will enable some of the dogs there to have a better start to 2021 and find new homes.

What do you want to say to everyone that voted for you at Spring?

I just want to say a huge thank you to all of the team! It’s really easy coming into work every day when you are surrounded by such positivity, even in the difficult circumstances we currently all face. I’m thoroughly looking forward to 2021 and will certainly enjoy the delicious bottle of bubbly I’ve won.
