We’ve asked the team some questions about their roles at Spring, along with some fun ones thrown in for good measure, to give you a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the people who are at the heart of our company.
Meet Sharon Daly – Spring Property Advisor
What’s your go-to karaoke song? This changes from week to week and also depends on my mood at the time, but an all-time classic for me is ‘Living on a Prayer’ by Bon Jovi.
What do you like doing in your spare time? I love spending time with friends and going to the gym to keep fit. It’s obviously been difficult getting the gym as much as I would like during lockdown, but I am looking forward to getting back into my fitness now the gyms have re-opened.
What was the first record your ever bought? This was ‘Spice Girls – Wannabe’. I idolised ‘Baby Spice’ and this track is still my favourite song they ever released and always guaranteed to get me on the dance floor.
If you could be an animal, what would it be? Has to be an elephant, I think they are beautiful and so clever! I was incredibly lucky on holiday one year to have a mud bath with several elephants – it was amazing.
What was your favourite TV program as a child? I used to love Rosie & Jim and Tots TV. Life on a canal boat with Rosie & Jim was my dream at the age of 6!
What’s the favourite part of your job at Spring? Helping and finding a solution for our customers.
What is the most difficult part of your job? Sometimes not being the right solution for certain customers and their circumstances, which can lead to difficult conversations.
You started at Spring during the first Covid lockdown, how did you get to know your colleagues when everyone was working remotely from home? The team was great and made me feel really welcome. We had weekly ‘huddle’ meetings via Teams, and still do, with the entire team to chat and find out what everyone is working on. The team have such a close bond and everyone looks out for one another, I certainly didn’t feel like the ‘new girl’ for very long.
Why do you think customers love Spring? Because we are honest and transparent with them and even if we are not the right solution for them, we will always try and help. I’d also say the Spring Price Promise is brilliant for our customers, I think it shows the customers how fair we are when it comes to our pricing.
